All crewmembers, take note: Any order issued by First Mate Unicorn Slayer Jabu, ordering you to commit an illegal act, is an illegal order. Just as it is illegal for him to issue it, it is illegal for you to obey it.

I have no doubt that some of you will follow his lead regardless. But those who do not wish to are under no obligation to do so. Any orders he or anyone else issues to assist in a jailbreak are not legally valid orders, and do not have (and for that matter, should not) be obeyed.

That is not what I meant. Are we not under obligation to follow our captain's orders, illegal or no? Does that not count as insubordination, or have we always had free choice in whether are not we are to follow a captain's orders?

No. Crewmembers are under obligation to obey all legal orders from their superiors. Illegal orders do not qualify.
